Sussex and England Cricket legend Chris Adams opened the new pavilion at Nuthurst Cricket Club. The building, which replaced a former pavilion which had been condemned, was funded with the help of a £51,865 grant from Biffa Award. The impressive new building provided 175 square metres of space and includes a fully-fitted kitchen, vaulted ceiling, full length sliding windows and doors and a veranda. It hosts a wide range of sporting and non-sporting activities for the community.
It is wonderful to see all the plans and detail we have been working on for the newly built pavilion finally come to fruition and be enjoyed by so many visitors today. We couldn’t be more pleased with the result which is being put to immediate use now and will be used by future generations of players and members of our community. - Club Chairman Kevin Barnes
