Well-loved kitchen gets a well-deserved update

The kitchen at St Stephen’s Church had served its community in South Shields well since its installation in the 1970s. But after years of use, it was time for an upgrade.

A £23,876 grant from Biffa Award provided the funds needed to overhaul the strip lighting, improve gas installation, and install new kitchen units, anti-slip flooring and fire proofing.

Now the kitchen can be enjoyed by its community for many more years to come.
